The mission statement of the Integrated Gang Prevention Task Force is to reduce gang membership and violence through a multisectoral approach focused on education, prevention, intervention, and suppression initiatives in partnership with impacted stakeholders.

Our Pillars

Our gang prevention strategy incorporates the following four pillars that are always evolving, adapting, and upgraded.

Our Services

EDUCATION

The process of facilitating learning, the acquisition of knowledge, skills, values, beliefs, and habits.

PREVENTION

The action of stopping something from happening or of stopping someone from doing something.

INTERVENTION

The action of becoming intentionally involved in a difficult situation, in order to improve it or prevent it from getting worse.

SUPPRESSION

The act of stopping a group, organization, or person from achieving their criminal goal and victimizing society.
